No. I am considered out-of-network for all insurance. I can provide a superbills, which is an itemized receipt showing services you already paid for, which you can submit to insurance for possible reimbursement if you have any out-of-network benefits.

Yes. Sliding scale fees are available on a limited basis and are adjusted based on financial need and available practice capacity. This approach is intended to increase access while maintaining sustainability of services. I use sliding scale pricing in an effort to make therapy more equitable and accessible. Sliding scale pricing allows me to support a wide variety of people, and to offer my time to organizations that support people who do not have the resources to access regular long term therapy. Those paying full priced fees also aid in making services more accessible to those who normally would not have access to similar treatment.
I follow the “Green Bottle” framework (Wort & Cunning), which provides a visual metaphor for understanding where you might fall on the sliding scale. It divides financial circumstances into three tiers based on financial privilege and personal financial experience. I understand that not every tier description matches your actual available income. This is meant to be a loose guideline; I will never question or challenge your rate, so I don’t need details about your situation if you don’t want to share them. Sliding scale pricing is an ethical approach to therapy that recognizes the unequal distribution of financial resources.
